Call it whatever you want, but most users call the "Treasure Chest Keys" simply brilliant. It lures buyers to trade show booths and kids to the school carnival. Everyone wants to be a winner! Make it fun for your participants and everyone leaves smiling.

The minimum order for new customers is $30. The re-order minimum is $20. We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. Your credit card is charged when we place the order with the factory and/or before we ship, and copies of the charge slip are mailed (USPS) directly to you along with a copy of our "Promo Hints" tip sheet. If you need an invoice for bookkeeping, just say so. Prices herein are subject to change without notice.

If you prefer to send a check, we can generate a Pro Forma Invoice and email or fax it to start that process. No orders are processed or shipped until funds have been received.

PRO-MOTION is not responsible for the artistic license or display techniques at the factory, but we try hard to fairly represent the products offered. I am happy to discuss the variables that can occur.

Treasure Chest Locks - $20.00 each The lock is the key to this promotion. Pun intended. Two lock options are available, RIDGED or FLAT. These locks are custom made to accept either a BOGUS (non-opening) key or an OPENING key, but FLAT and RIDGED keys are not interchangeable. A RIDGED key will not fit into a FLAT lock, or vice versa. That's what makes this an exciting promotion! Locks are stamped on the bottom with a letter code. Ridged Locks are available in four (4) different tumblers, and Flat Locks are available in two (2) different tumblers. Each tumbler requires a custom key to open that lock. A bogus key of the matching style will fit into a lock but won't open it. LOCK STYLES & STANDARDS: Unless requested specifically, the factory ships orders with "Ridged" locks and keys. KEY STYLES   The keys are zinc-plated steel, and measure three-quarter inch wide x one and a half inches long. Shown, top - a Ridged Key. Bottom: Flat Key. The "ridge" extends down the vertical length of the key, like a bump, which the flat key does not have. Both key styles have "teeth" on the edges. Both styles mail equally well. Bulk Mail service is required if you tape the key to a card due to to postal cancellation equipment. Insert in an envelope with a promotional letter and it mails for current half-ounce first class postage. NOTE: When inventory fluctuates, either style will be shipped unless we are told expressly otherwise. We must decline your order if your requested style is not available in the quantity needed within your time frame via Ground Freight. If the order is do-able at the last minute, then the expedited freight charge is at your expense. STRONG SUGGESTION: Order more keys than you think you'll need, especially openers. It will save on freight charges long term. This promotion can be and is recycled & used for years. Collecting used bogus keys is easy, but you're up a creek if you don't have at least one opener to get into the lock. GOT AN OLD STASH OF KEYS? Check the top of the keys shown. A clover leaf fits into a ridged lock, a shield shape into a flat lock. You'll need to find the lock and check the code to know which tumbler key is required. NOTE regarding CHESTS: If you do not need to order a chest, check that yours has a hasp (the metal plate that flaps over the half ring that sticks out) and that the clearance (the hole where the lock shackle is inserted) measures at least one half inch. Because the steel shackle rod measures 3/8ths inch! Many decorative chests use a flip latch which won't work with a lock.

"BETTER" NATURAL WOOD CHESTS" Each chest style is not pictured, because with slight variables, they all look alike. Check the standard sizes of the Treasure Chests offered and then see which "style" is available. The color of the stain is a medium-light brown but varies if Geppetto changes the wood used; currently Pine is being used in the Wood Chests.

The difference between "Pirate Style" and "Better Wooden" Chests is the price. Most chest sizes are available in either finish.

THE BEST CHESTS - CLEAR LUCITE!

SKIPPER LUCITE - Medium - $160.00 (14" x 7.5" x 8.5" H ADMIRAL CHEST- Large - $ 180.00 (16" x 8.5" x 9"H Custom made, with curved lid, brass hinges, a lucite chest will add the touch of elegance some may desire. And your "treasure" will be more easily visible for "oohs & ahhhs" than the photo shown. CAUTION: Handle carefully. Lucite can crack from heavy hands & hard use. It is shipped double boxed to avoid damage in transit. (We suggest you retain both boxes for your future shipping needs.) Unfortunately, that double-box protection increases freight charges to a 52 lb. dimensional weight, so this is not a cheap promotional tool. Plan ahead to avoid Expedited Charges, which can cost more than $100. International Economy fees are about $150 US Cy.

FREIGHT CHARGES: "Dimensional" charges apply to chests exceeding 16 inches wide, and especially to the Lucite chests which are double-boxed to avoid damage in transit. These cost, on average, from $30-$35 each (and $245 to France!). The Whale chest and Kits are in the same range. It is difficult to be specific because the add-on items affect the weight and the carton used, but we cheerfully will ship using your Fed Ex account number. We do not ship COD. Small "less than minimum" orders are often shipped directly from our office; Priority Mail is $10 and Fed Ex depends on the speed you need to get it there.
